Can substitute kefir for buttermilk, and tamari for soy sauce.

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

Makes more than I personally need for the pairing salad

Initially made this to go with the Quinoa Crunch Salad but now it's on repeat and I often have a fresh bottle of it in the fridge. Great over a baked potato or steamed vegetables but my favorite way to use it is to thicken it up with more avocado and serve with toasted and buttered crusty bread. I use whole-milk kefir and swap in deseeded Serrano pepper for jalapeño.
