Orange pound cake from Barefoot Contessa Family Style: Easy Ideas and Recipes That Make Everyone Feel Like Family (page 142) by Ina Garten

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

Delicious! I used Cara Cara oranges. Didn’t have quite enough zest so I added a ½ teaspoon of orange extract. The recipe says to remove the cakes from the pans and then drizzle on the orange syrup. But I didn’t want the syrup dribbling all over, so I used a wooden skewer to poke a bunch of holes in the cake and then poured the syrup on top while the cakes were still in the loaf pans. I did make the optional glaze, but it doesn’t have much flavor. It needs a few drops of orange extract or some vanilla extract. Or just skip it.

I made one loaf in a 9"x5" pan. Baked 45 minutes. Omitted glaze. Very good! Freezes well.
