Bea's apple crisp from Pure Dessert: True Flavors, Inspiring Ingredients, and Simple Recipes by Alice Medrich

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

This is one of my favorite desserts ever! I do prefer to half the amount of dried apricots, but I recommend not omitting them, they give such a lovely perfumey depth to the dessert.

I used the crisp topping recipe on a different combination of fruits. I reduced the walnuts by half. This was the best crisp topping I've tried so far. Finally one that isn't greasy and doesn't require me to use my food Processer. I increase to the oven heat a little to make it big faster. That were to well, but it must be done with caution or the walnuts will burn.

Awesome! I omitted the apricots but otherwise followed the recipe. Our favourite comfort food this time of year.
