Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Pappardelle with creamy smoked salmon, caper, and dill sauce

    • Kp101 on November 05, 2014

Good flavors; was a hit. Made with 1 pack of smoked salmon from the Costco 2-pks we get, used evap milk; didn't have fresh dill so used dried & upped the lemon (meant to add fresh parsley but forgot); used fresh tagliatelle; came together in under 20 mins

    • chawkins on February 12, 2020

Very rich but tasted great, I like the addition of the tomato paste. No pappardelle, used fresh Chinese egg noodle instead.

  • Beef filet with porcini and roasted shallot sauce

    • kbrooks on May 16, 2025

Labor intensive recipe but the result is so flavorful. I make this for company meals and it is impressive. Recipe gives instructions for reverse searing method, finishing either on the stove top or in the oven.

  • Roasted Brussels sprouts with caramelized onions

    • Rinshin on November 11, 2014

I thought there was way too many onion in this recipe and it overpowered the sprouts. The timing was a little off. It took longer for sprouts to cook and I think I maybe getting tired of this style of sprouts. I like steamed sprouts the best for bringing out the true flavor of sprouts.

  • Pulled chicken

    • vox82 on January 19, 2015

An easy way to have chicken for use throughout the week. Next time, I'll reduce the paprika.
