  • Pumpkin pie

      Inspired.. the pepita brittle really makes a great topping / garnish for pumpkin pie. The dulce de leche is also a great variation.. but made it as a proper pie, blending it with Bakewise' Memorable Creamy Pumpkin Pie recipe. Happy times.

  • Pan-fried pei pa tofu with Chinese sausage and prawns (Heung jin pei pa doufu)

      This tasted pretty good but the recipe needed some tweaking. Salt was added to the tofu mixture in the instructions, but was not included in the ingredient list. The amount of potato starch added to the mixture was not enough to hold the mixture together, so had trouble with couple of pieces when flipping during the pan-frying process.

  • Blood orange and hazelnut cake

      I didn't have enough blood oranges to do the orange slice topping, but the cake is delicious enough (and sweet enough) without it!. Will try again with the topping for a dinner party dessert.. but it's fine on its own as a dense, flavoursome cake.
