Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Wild pesto

    • FJT on March 24, 2025

Made with wild garlic, not nettles. Nice, but very strong. Next time I don't think I would add the clove of garlic as I'm not sure the wild garlic needs it.

  • Chorizo & cabbage stew

    • Krisage on December 08, 2024

I had a partial can of tomatoes that I wanted to use, so didn’t include the full amount — only 1/4. Subbed soyrizo in. Used homemade turkey stock that I made at Thanksgiving. Simple & quick in the pressure cooker for 2 minutes at full pressure. Topped with homemade chili crisp/yogurt dip and used tostadas to scoop bitefuls. Flavor would be nice with queen olives and cilantro — mixed in or as garnish.

  • Leek & goat's cheese traybake tart

    • chezsandj on October 28, 2018

Make less filling for a round tart, maybe 150 ml milk and 2 eggs. Used soft goat and walnuts rather than hazelnuts.

  • Help-yourself grain fridge salad

    • VineTomato on April 26, 2020

A great meal prep salad for weekday lunches which I'll put into regular rotation. I made mine with black quinoa. My mint turned black in the salad despite being fresh when I made it - next time I'll keep the mint separate. I kept the dressing separate and added it each day upon serving.
