    Good, simple cucumber side dish. I used less olive oil than suggested.

    This was not as flavorful as I expected, maybe because I used more zucchini and tomatoes than specified. I did up the spices, but next time I would increase them further. Certainly the combination of ingredients was excellent.

    Excellent tagine. The flavors (and herbs/spices) blend well, but no ingredient is overpowering. I appreciate the range of colors; it makes a lovely presentation.

• Chicken tagine with caramelized tomato compote (Djaj m’assal)

    The chicken has an interesting marinade/cooking sauce, and the tomato sauce (as garnish) is excellent--concentrated tomatoes with honey & cinnamon. I liked the extra crunch of the almonds in contrast to the fall-apart tender chicken. I used extra parsley, no cilantro.
