Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Spicy baked eggs with tomatoes and chickpeas

    • janiceian_vuzaag on May 06, 2026

Serve with two eggs and flatbread for main meal

  • Overnight cardamom and chia breakfast

    • CourtneyT on January 06, 2026

Author list 2T of chia seeds in the ingredients but the sidebar notes that he prefers the consistency when 3T are added. I find 2T results in a very runny consistency and agree that 3T is better. I also found the amount of cardamom overpowering as written. I pulled it back by half with a better result.

  • Carrot and pea subji with coriander yoghurt

    • chaffinski on January 13, 2023

Love this with the ghee option. More than a sum of its humble parts and delish.

  • Jerk squash and celeriac with plantain

    • larissa_iqr137 on February 24, 2026

Absolutely delicious. I added a can of coconut milk instead of coconut cream. And lemon instead of lime. I didn't to add the water. Made the jerk paste in the book and it's really nice too.

  • Mediterranean cod one pot

    • etcjm on September 17, 2021

Really good. Substantial dish. I didn't have quite enough cod, so leftovers were codless but tasty (I was cooking for 2). Lots of flavour and even though they are quite simple ingredients it packs a punch. Seems a lot of leeks, but they do cook right down and give good substance. Was going to make some gluten free flatbreads to go with it, but didn't get time - and you know what, it didn't really need it. Will do again.
