  • Not ya mamma’s corn muffins

    • Nkrieda78 on September 23, 2021

      I haven’t met a homemade cornbread I dislike.

  • Billionaire’s bacon

    • jmohart on March 04, 2026

This bacon is fantastic. Family devoured it. Used just a pinch of red pepper flakes.

    • jmohart on March 08, 2026

Coated the bacon by tossing each piece in a bowl of the sugar pepper mixture. Request for more black pepper, will add 1/2 tsp more next time

    • kiki_4i30mx on April 05, 2026

This bacon is sooooo good! We had just a couple of half slices left but it still worked. Tured out flavorful and crispy

    • holly_6rdxil on June 02, 2026

Make sure to use thick cut bacon! I accidentally used a pretty thin bacon and the sugar overpowered it. Still so good and will try again with thick cut!

  • The king classic Caesar

    • tmjellicoe on September 06, 2022

I’ve made this dressing a couple of times and it is a winner. It halves well. I had anchovy fillets in oil rather than paste so put 1 in and blended it with the rest of the ingredients.

    • Silver.bird22 on October 30, 2025

Halved the dressing and there was still plenty leftover.

  • Orange (but really kinda burgundy) chicken with white rice

    • okmosa on January 23, 2022

I’d never made orange chicken at home before, but it is good in a sweet-and-sour way. I was hoping for more sauce thank this made, to pour over the rice too, and I only used 1 1/2 pounds of chicken. I was shocked at how much cornstarch was needed on the chicken, but I used it all, with less chicken than called for. The chicken should be sautéed in batches to avoid steaming and to get it crispier. And, finally, the sauce was a little bland, although I didn’t use the sriracha or red pepper flakes. Still, it wasn’t very sharp, flavorful, or orange-y. And the sauce didn’t thicken much despite all of the cornstarch. Making orange chicken at home is a nice diversion, but I’ll look at other recipes and use dark instead of white meat chicken next time.

    • holly_6rdxil on June 02, 2026

This was better than take out! Make sure to double the sauce because the chicken really soaks it up. Will for sure be making this again. If you want to simplify it the sauce would be great with some air fried frozen chicken too, but his method was easy and delicious.

  • Rolls Royce PB-chocolate chip cookies

    • holly_6rdxil on June 03, 2026

These were solid cookies but nothing unique. They were kind of gritty but I think I didn’t cream the butter and sugar enough. Also used a combination of mini and regular chocolate chips.

  • Bow wow brownies and ice cream

    • Acarroll on November 17, 2021

      Rich and gooey!

    • Dollhouse_Cuisine on May 13, 2025

Made for dessert on Mother's Day for family. I am a mom, but I told my husband the only gift I wanted for the occasion was for him to help me cook whatever I wanted for dinner. He agreed to that, but he also surprised me with this cookbook! The brownies were great. I think the milk chocolate morsels made a big difference (as opposed to using semi-sweet chocolate chips). Vanilla ice cream is actually a serving suggestion (even though it's in the title), not an ingredient per se. Ditto chocolate sauce. Can't wait to try some more recipes from this fun cookbook!

    • doug_j1bmba on April 07, 2026

So gooey. Almost toooo gooey. They reheat nice, but without ice cream/whipped cream, they are a bit much for my brownie preference!
