Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Roast sausage, chickpea and autumn vegetables

    • Foodycat on November 09, 2021

Might have been better if I used chorizo or something really punchy - the chicken sausages I used were tasty but they didn't mingle with the veg. I used less kale and sausage but it was still too much for my biggest mixing bowl - I ended up having to season it in batches. It was perfectly edible but not very interesting. If I do it again I will use sweet potato instead of carrots. I added two cloves of sliced garlic because no garlic is just sad and next time I would add 4.

  • Baked aubergine with lentils, paneer and tomatoes

    • debkellie on April 28, 2023

Looking for recipes to "use up" a leftover eggplant, and some paneer... this one met the search terms ..an unusual combination, and my expectations of it were not high.. but it was surprisingly tasty and a winner at the table!

    • iracane on September 15, 2025

The flavors were good but my dish came out too watery - not sure if 720 ml of water is appropriate for just 100 g of lentils.
