Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Weeknight spatchcocked chicken with lemon and root vegetables

    • tarae1204 on September 14, 2023

Vegetables needed longer roast time than chicken.

  • Bang bang crispy chicken

    • TrishaCP on January 11, 2023

This was tasty. My chicken could have been crispier, but that is totally on me for using a different technique (air fryer) than specified. I would make this again.

  • Internet chicken with apples, bacon, and Brussels sprouts

    • KarinaFrancis on June 28, 2021

Nothing earth shattering but a good, tasty chicken dinner with a minimum of fuss.

    • Wende on January 19, 2022

This was an easy dinner to put together but I thought it was going to be much tastier than it was. All of my ingredients where from WF, so I don't think the taste was quality-related; it just didn't fire on all cylinders. I used bacon from the WF butcher which is quite thick. I wish the book had given that amount in weight rather than number of slices of bacon because what I had rendered enough fat so that nothing had nice roasting pan browning from the bottom of the pan.

  • Cornell sauce sheet pan chicken with summer veggie sizzle

    • tmatthey on September 08, 2021

Couldn't add a review so ... Notes it is. Tasty! Crispy skin. Did not scale down successfully so kind of over crisped the veggies (my cherry tomatoes charred) but it was still good. The "Cornell Sauce" did inform the veggies in a good way. 3 stars rating only for the fact that I found the temperature and timing changes a bit challenging for a recipe I expected to be mostly hands off after I marinaded and prepped. Also I wish I had added the cherry tomatoes in later than recipe suggests.

  • Celery and watermelon radish salad with nuts and dried cherries

    • kitchen_chick on September 05, 2022

Nice salad! I used pecans for the nuts and honey instead of maple syrup. I also added a bit of chiffonaded nasturtium leaves just because I have them in my garden right now.

  • A very good citrus salad with olives, chiles, and mint

    • Maefleur on December 12, 2024

A lovely salad thats always welcome with its pop of bright fresh flavor as well as color.
