Dressed eggs-This is my go-to dressed egg recipe and I even like it better than deviled eggs. Easter, guests coming over, or I want a snack, I make this recipe. The sauce is so good it’s drinkable!

Peach and burrata salad with pecan dukkah, page 56-- this was an absolutely beautiful salad. We had perfectly ripe peaches, but the dukkah takes it to the next level. I forgot the honey drizzle at first (sub for honeycomb) and didn't miss it ; I added some to a bit of the salad later to try it and found it too sweet for a side salad (though I imagine it would be fine if served as a cheese plate at the end of the meal). It needed a squeeze of lemon juice and more dukkah than she suggested. Served with a farro and lentil salad, but I'd like to try it alongside a piece of slow roasted salmon.

I liked this, but the cheeses in the middle don't melt as nicely as american so I had to drain a lot of grease after the first bite. I really liked the addition of peppers though, so next time I'd stuck to those chopped with some american cheese in the middle

Really good, would make again and try with Parmesan. We did not make the truffle mayo sauce but will try that next time.

  • Honey-do banana bread

Pretty good! I cut the sugar by about 30% and doubled the flaxseeds.

A one-of-a-kind recipe chronicle of Dale Gray's life in the south--from South Africa to South Korea to the American South.

South of Somewhere is a unique culinary tour of beloved food blogger Dale Gray's life to date. Her journey goes way back to South Africa on the outskirts of Capetown. Dale grew up with a close-knit family who has resided in her hometown for generations, but it's almost impossible to encapsulate her heritage in a few words. She describes the people of South Africa as a product of centuries of colonization, enslavement, apartheid, and intermarriage between people from Asia, Africa, and Europe--now compromising a colorful blend of Eastern, Western, and African heritage.

After growing up in South Africa, Dale taught English for six years in South Korea, and she later moved to the American South where she resides now with her husband. The result of her travels is a one-of-a-kind cookbook with dishes including Porch Party Shrimp with Mississippi Comeback Sauce, Salmon Ssam Feast, and Garlic Peri-Peri Roast Chicken. Dale Gray is best known for creating delicious dinner recipes for her blog and Instagram that look as good as they taste, but this book delves far deeper into her story and food with delicious creations like these and more which you'll return to time and time again.
