  • Plain Jane Cookies [Amy Jason, Cookie Fix]

I was frustrated by a lot of this recipe. The instructions were not super clear and some measurements seemed off-- the dry ingredients were too much for a small bowl and the recipe made way more thank the 28 cookies. The recipe also suggested placing the cookies 4 inches apart but my cookies barely spread. They were a little flavorless, but the texture was absolutely fabulous. They're addictive. Would make again, despite all the work. I suspect they would be even better with mix ins.

I made these with walnuts and blueberries (left out the white chocolate in the variation). These are very sweet but have a lovely cream cheese tang and crispy and chewy texture. Had a few people at work interested in the recipe.

  • Funfetti cookies [KateWood, Wood & Spoon blog]

Worth buying for this recipe alone. Super easy and delicious cookies- perfect for gifting to friends for birthdays.

  • Chewy brownies [Tessa Arias, Handle the Heat blog]

Nice texture and taste, but we didn’t like the chocolate chips ruining the smoothness. Try again and leave out chips. (If that doesn’t work, maybe melt in?) (We baked on convection for less time - about 23 mins instead of 30.)

  • Peach cobbler scones [Rebecca Rather, Emma + Ollie]

    • Kitsune on October 27, 2024

these spread a LOT but tasted delicious. next time would chill before baking to reduce spreading. also the amount of topping the recipe provided was a ton and would not stay on the scones because it was so much - even though it is delicious a lot of it went to waste, would cut down topping amount next time
