Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Baked rice & leeks (Rys und pohr)

    • lkgrover on March 30, 2026

Excellent risotto with leeks; baked in the oven instead of cooked on the stovetop. (The recipe calls for baking covered for 30-35 minutes. I had to bake uncovered for 15 minutes to evaporate the stock. But still delicious!) I also increased the paprika in the crispy onions -- I think I like spicier foods than the average Swiss eater.

  • Chicken curry with fruit (Riz Casimir)

    • lkgrover on December 17, 2025

Excellent chicken curry, although less spicy than Indian or Southeast Asian curries. I used Madras curry powder.
