Can substitute Béchamel sauce for eggs and whipping cream.

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

This is an excellent weeknight dinner. Used the bechamel sauce in the book which was a quick sauce to add in, since I didn't have cream, and it was a nice supper casserole. Will probably repeat this when I need a quick supper.

Easy and delicious, a perfect comfort food winter meal with a green salad. My gratin was too liquidy, and tfe thick bechamel separated, so next time I’ll try a lower temperature. Time to check my oven!
