    Made this for an Alison Roman Potluck. Absolute crowd favorite. So easy to make and not to sweet, even the people who don’t like dessert were going back for seconds. I always double the frosting for cakes so doubled this one and let it pour over the sides. I stopped and had some leftover but the brown butter frosting is so unique and tasty. Edit to say my friend texted me to say she was still thinking about this cake 2 days later.

    It's a simple cake but I find myself craving it all the time. I especially like the buttermilk in the glaze, it's cream cheese frosting-esque without the effort.

    A bit disappointing because I was expecting more of a brown butter/buttermilk flavour. It was pretty bland for a cake.

    This was tasty. Made it into cupcakes; bake time was about 30 minutes.

    It’s a simple cake leveled-up with brown butter, so basically it’s perfect. The icing/glaze would be incredible on cookies, cinnamon buns, cupcakes, etc.

    This may be my favorite cake ever. So easy and yet such great flavor. Plus, it's one layer, so good for just 2 people. Brown that butter and you will be rewarded!
