Creamy goat cheese with lemony za'atar from Nothing Fancy: Unfussy Food for Having People Over (page 53) by Alison Roman

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

Bold flavours - we enjoyed this. It gets better the longer it sits. I did remove most of the pith from my lemon as it was quite thick. Great with crusty sourdough.

This is an easy and delicious addition to a cheese plate. I used preserved lemons and loved the interplay with the thyme. Great on crackers, baguette slices, or a sandwich.

Delicious paired with the marinated artichokes on the previous page. I didn't quite have enough fresh thyme so I crumbled in some dried hyssop thyme, which is the type usually used in za'atar so it worked perfectly. Make sure to chop the lemon as fine as possible - it really melts in and adds a well rounded flavor.

really tasty, lovely combination of flavors. I did not use the entire lemon, just the zest and flesh, but skipped the rind. made for a potluck, was a hit.

Really good! We ate it with ak-mak crackers for some extra sesame.

If you really like lemon (I do!) this is a nice dip. Beware, it makes a lot!
