Can substitute brown sugar for maple sugar.

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

I used maple sugar, the larger amount of maple flavor, and the glaze, and the maple flavor was there, but not super strong. Texture was nubby and slightly crumbly. The loaf rose faster than expected, nice and high (my kitchen was warmer than usual). Delicious toasted with butter and/or maple cream, for over-the-top maple goodness.

This is delicious warm or later. I recommend using the maple flavoring.
