  • Indian-spiced mashed potatoes

    • Kduncan on November 30, 2020

This is an interesting recipe, as these are definitely some funky mashed potatoes (but in a good way). Definitely didn't go with the rest of our thanksgiving leftovers, but with a nice piece of steak they made the perfect side.

  • Turkish eggs with yogurt (Çılbır)

    • Foodycat on September 17, 2017

This is such an easy but good dish. I do it with fried eggs not poached because I can't poach an egg to save my life.

  • Spring onion pancakes

    • Foodycat on August 03, 2014

Made 1/4 quantity - 1/2 cup flour, 1/4 cup water - and it was perfect for one large pancake shared between two people.

  • Fiakergulasch

    • Rinshin on December 31, 2022

One of our favorite winter stews using Hungarian sweet as well as hot paprika. Spanish pimenton would be wrong flavor profile in this Viennese beef stew. Cooked egg and cornichon or gherkins go so well together. We split one sausage between the two of us. Added potato dumpling and side of green salad. This recipe looks same to the one I added to food.com site sometime back. Photo added.

  • Oven fried courgette rounds

    • Agaillard on April 18, 2020

This was super simple and the oven cooking method is super efficient. Excellent. I added some garlic and parsley in the breadcrumbs, and skipped the flour step as I cannot find any flour ! I will most definitely make again and add some variations possibly on herbs, adding parmesan, etc. I served with an equally simple dip of creme fraiche, mustard and cumin mixed together, as a nibble type of dish.

  • Cold sesame noodles

    • Yildiz100 on September 27, 2017

This sauce is so ridiculously good! Followed it to the letter except I used chili crisp instead of chili oil.
