    This falls somewhere between cake & pastry, so if you’re seeking ‘soft & fluffy’, keep moving along. This was a delicious dessert & an absolute doddle to prepare.

• Venison Stroganoff with saffron cap mushrooms and oven-baked chips

    A tasty Stroganoff that is very quick to prepare. We served this with buttered pasta rather than the chips.

• One-pot lemon chicken with brown rice and leeks

    The chook was just like any pot roast, though there was absolutely no discernible flavour from the oregano. With the cooking time involved, the rice was total sludge. And it wasn’t even tasty sludge. Do not proceed.
