    Honey & Cranberry cake - a similar experience to JanElsner with this cake too - makes me think that the recipe may not have been tested. No indication of whether or not to drain cranberries before adding (I drained them before adding..). Recipe appears to have an excessive amount of baking powder. No size given for the kugelhopf cake tin - I used a 10 cup tin , batter filled half way, and then at 30 minutes into the bake it decided to overflow the tin... Supposed to be cooked in 40 -45 minutes ... At 50 minutes @ 170C it was still wobbly liquid; after 1.5 hours in oven still NOT cooked. Decided to take it out. As written, recipe does not generate a pretty cake. I've never had a cake disaster before! Flavour is nice, maybe it'll make a good bread pudding?

    Persian love cake p191 is a enticingly different version, that looked to me like it wouldn't bake. And it didn't. Over 2hrs in oven attempting to make something of it. Soggy mess. Lovely flavour, with pomegranate molasses, but requires more binding and some rising agents to work. Not a great start to a highly awaited book.
