Notes about this book

Ate the Buttermilk Tart, Butter Chicken Curry, Butter Braised vegetables at Honey & Spice London on the 19th March 2019 during a talk by the authors Grant and Eve. The buttermilk tart was sensational. The curry was deliciously buttery! And Grant’s butter is so buttery, yellow, rich, smooth and yet floral with a hint of citrus. Truly delicious.

  • Bone marrow butter

When a grandson volunteers to grill steak, that's when it's time to pull out this ultimate steak topper - well worth the trek for marrow bones. Use your discretion with regards to disclosing the ingredients ... there may be marrow skeptics hidden in the crowd.

  • Charred broccoli & stracciatella di bufala

    • Hansyhobs on January 03, 2022

Delicious sandwich, very lemony and bright. We used purple sprouting broccoli which worked very well. We didn't have sourdough so we toasted regular white slices, they went a bit soggy but did hold up. I'd go for sourdough, or something else hardy, if you can.

  • Sourdough treacle tart

    • terrestris on December 27, 2025

Specified amount of lemon is quite overpowering - suggest using half a lemon instead. Also suggest using more breadcrumbs than specified, as 125g breadcrumbs struggled to absorb the 400g - not sure if it was the size of the breadcrumbs, the age or the amount
