  • Tofu Benedict

    • erin3107 on February 18, 2023

these were a bit weird, didn't really enjoy them

  • Welsh rarebits

    • Hannaha100 on December 14, 2019

Made the rarebits but not the caramelised onions. Absolutely amazing! I miss cheese on toast since going dairy free. Very rich savoury/umami flavour. M1 enjoyed too (baby wouldn't try). Would definitely repeat!

  • Smoked chilli and rosemary dough-ball fondue

    • Hannaha100 on December 28, 2019

This worked pretty well. I would make again to bring to a buffet but I wouldn't make again as part of a complicated meal as it takes too long. The cashew cheese sauce was amazing and very quick to prepare - used leftovers as a pasta sauce. Will definitely make again.

it's unsual to have a bread recipe with more liquids than dry ingredients, did add more flour.

  • Stuffed squash roast

    • angie_hlr0hx on March 28, 2026

So hard to do and at the end flavour was ok. Not worth workings hard on it.

  • Rich mushroom and lentil parcels

    • Hannaha100 on December 28, 2019

In my opinion these were just ok for the amount of preparation required. A nice hearty taste but not special enough for Christmas dinner. Note to self if repeating make sure all liquid has evaporated - it takes longer than stated.

made these for my christmas dinner for 2022! they were quite nice

  • Herb-crusted cauliflower and leek "cheese"

    • Hannaha100 on January 08, 2020

For once I followed the recipe fairly faithfully, just subbing dried herbs for fresh as needed. This went down pretty well! DH said the best vegan cheese sauce we've tried yet. Interestingly it doesn't taste great cold but when heated up with herbs it transforms, and does taste pretty "cheesy". Girls both liked but not too keen on leeks - I might do broccoli instead next time? I was impressed they liked the herbs, I've tended to keep things fairly simple in the past.

Very good, and a hit with the family. I wouldn't say it has the funkiness of a typical cheese sauce. However, the gorgeous herby crust and general creaminess of the sauce means that this is still a delicious crowd pleaser.

  • Truffle cream "cheese"

    • Hannaha100 on December 28, 2019

This worked well but the truffle taste is strong and not to everyone's taste. The portion size is plenty.

  • Mushroom pâté

    • Hannaha100 on December 28, 2019

This was nice but involved a lot of prep. In hindsight the flavour profile was too similar to truffle cashew cheese. I would make again. Portion size makes plenty.
