Buffalo mozzarella, broad bean, olive, lemon and rocket salad
-
Full review
Wrap Your Lips Around This
It’s a gorgeous salad, filled with a mixture of textures. The broad beans...sit well alongside the rocket. Black olives add an earthiness, and a mustard dressing pulls it all together.

Cornish crab linguine with chilli, lemon and parsley
-
Full review
Wrap Your Lips Around This
I really enjoyed the combination of crab with just-cooked linguine, the pasta water and lemon juice bringing everything together. The parmesan works surprisingly well too.

Spring roast chicken with wild garlic, herbs, roast new potatoes and tarragon mayo

Wrap Your Lips Around This
I really like her recipe for new potatoes too, which use a helluva lot of fresh rosemary and thyme. Both make a massive difference to how the potatoes taste...

Fennel and Parmesan gratin
-
Full review
Wrap Your Lips Around This
...this is possibly the lightest ‘rich’ dish I’ve ever made. And it’s because there’s no double cream. Instead, you get the unctuousness from parmesan and breadcrumbs but it’s still light enough...

Granola with almonds and pecans

Full review
Wrap Your Lips Around This
It’s nice, and the Sea and Shore recipe has lovely little extras. Like the pecans, which puff up in the oven and give the most delicious crunch. I’m also a fan of the orange zest...

I have newfound respect for cucumber finger sandwiches and promise not to laugh at them anymore.

Publishers Text
Think of a place where the sky meets the sea. Where the coastline is rugged; hidden coves nestle among white cliff faces and surf breaks on gloriously sandy beaches. The home of Poldark, Daphne du Maurier, cream teas and old-fashioned holidays. Where there is more than a hint of magic. This is Cornwall. In Sea & Shore, Emily Scott brings together the magic of this beautiful part of the world, with over 80 simple and wholesome recipes perfect for the home cook.
Emily likes to use few ingredients and let them shine – less really is more on her plate. The recipes are relaxed, use minimal ingredients and will show you how to prepare, cook and eat without myriad trips to the shops and above, all without fuss. From paired-back suppers to a dish to delight weekend guests, or a pudding for that special occasion, Sea & Shore is more than just a cookbook; it shares the connection between food, a sense of place and storytelling. Interweaving the sentimental tales of her childhood in Provence, to the crashing shores of Cornwall and golden sandy beaches, with stunning photography alongside, this charming cookbook translates experience and memories into ingredients that come together as simple, rustic dishes which anyone can easily recreate at home, bringing a little of the Cornish coastline to their kitchen.
