  • Black olive pesto pasta

    • Vegansarah on November 04, 2021

Have made pesto plenty of times but have never added tomato paste or balsamic vinegar but was pleasantly surprised about how much it lifted the dish. Like a whole different meal. Left out the olives because we don't like them

  • Butternut squash carbonara with crispy sage

    • erin3107 on September 09, 2022

the sauce wasn't bad but not sure why they call it a carbonara as it doesn't seem to be trying to replicate those flavours at all. we weren't keen on the crispy sage either

  • Green's shepherd's pie

    • erin3107 on February 14, 2023

was pretty good but nothing special

  • Henry's 30-minute lasagna

    • Hannaha100 on September 26, 2021

Took me about 40 mins start to finish - a little fiddly but not difficult. Infinitely more practical than the previous Bosh lasagne I made. Very generous and filling portions - I think this could feed more than 4. Used oaty cream spread with some non dairy milk instead of creme fraiche. Everyone enjoyed, although M1 picked out some of the artichoke. Could easily hide some extra veg in this.

  • Ultimate vegan mac & cheese

    • erin3107 on July 24, 2022

      this was really tasty

  • Got-no-beef rendang

    • Pandan on February 19, 2024

Didn’t taste like the original Malaysian Rendang I know (I know it to be more red in colour due to the Malaysian curry powder), but still tasted very nice. The roasted coconut on top was a nice touch. Added some palm sugar.

  • Beet & lentil burger

    • gillian_p1hscy on April 25, 2026

Which type of lentils? It doesn't say.

  • Butter tofu curry

    • Vegansarah on October 14, 2021

Really flavorsome, served with potato chaat with crispy chickpeas from the same book plus rice and homemade naan

  • Sloppy Joe dogs

    • erin3107 on September 05, 2023

the chilli tasted good, wish I'd used a different mince though

  • Sticky Sichuan tofu

    • Hannaha100 on June 30, 2021

Used this method for the tofu, served with rice and stir-fried veg. "Delicious" according to 5yo. Really not difficult, will make again!

  • Potato chaat with crispy chickpeas

    • Vegansarah on October 14, 2021

Served with the butter tofu curry from the same book plus homemade naan and rice

  • Spicy dan dan noodles

    • CallieMightCook on March 15, 2026

This was a nice recipe and it made an enjoyable meal. It did take somewhat longer than the 30 minutes that the book claims to make though. Used chestnut mushrooms in this and also used sun-dried tomato and chilli oil for drizzling on the top - this gave quite a kick to the end result.

  • Squash falafel

    • erin3107 on September 09, 2022

really yummy recipe! only made it to use up some leftover squash but so glad I did

  • Roasted Thai broccoli with peanut & cilantro rice salad

    • erin3107 on February 14, 2023

was ok but not that great

  • Salt & pepper tofu

    • erin3107 on September 09, 2022

the tofu was good but I wasn't a fan of the noodle salad with it

  • Millionaire's shortbread

    • erin3107 on February 14, 2023

was very nice but not worth buying lotus spread for if you don't have it in as you can't really taste it
