Notes about Recipes in this book

  • One-pan pasanda

    • jvozoff on February 27, 2024

Easy, filling, and very flavorful. Beans weren’t quite done after 15 minutes - would add them earlier. Could have made 1/2 the sauce, but the whole amount wasn’t too much.

This was so good! Thai flavours and loaded with veggies. I made half the recipe which worked well for two. Took me about 45 min in total. Definitely a favourite!

  • Faux gras

    • Cati on June 28, 2019

They attribute this recipe to Alexis Gautier. However David Lebovitz published a similar recipe back in June 2015 which he had attributed to Tres Green, Tres Clean, Tres Chic by Rachel Leffler.

  • Singapore fried vermicelli

    • Hannaha100 on September 26, 2020

Enjoyed by all but a fairly standard stir fry really. I did like the addition of curry powder. Used leeks instead of bok choi. I added marinated tofu but would like to try the Vietnamese tofu in same book. M1 ate all except the carrot. M2 liked broccoli and tofu.

  • Ibiza sunset burger

    • Vegansarah on September 28, 2021

Everyone really enjoyed this dish. Amazing what an uplift to a burger this is

  • Sweet potato tikka masala

    • WandaA on August 25, 2020

This was a wonderful meal. Could use some more texture because it is all quite soft except for the bell peppers. Maybe add some nuts or seeds for some more crunch. It tastes delicious!

  • Mini mushroom pies

  • Roast sweet potato tagine

    • etcjm on November 24, 2019

I kind of halved the quantity as I only had 650g of sweet potatoes. This meant 1 tb of harissa paste. Goodness if I'd put in the 2tb, even with a kilo of potatoes it would have been way too hot. It was an easy meal, not sure I'll do it again though.

  • Classic lasagna

    • Hannaha100 on February 10, 2020

DH made this for a family dinner. Enjoyed by all, even those who thought they didn't like mushrooms. Took a long time to cook. Made a day in advance, kept well. Might try without red wine next time.

    • karen_ix79c0 on April 12, 2026

This is a family favourite. It takes some time to make, but is worth it.

  • Tabbouleh

  • Bang bang noodle salad

    • WandaA on September 15, 2020

On a late Summer day we ate this for the first time. It was perfect. A lot of different vegetables, wonderful textures, just the right amount of noodles and a perfect dressing. So delicious! Perfect balance of flavours in the dressing. This will be a favourite Summer recipe in our house.

  • Empire biscuits

    • KatytheCook on August 02, 2022

Delicious biscuits, recipe can be customised eg by adding ginger and raisin

  • Banana bread blondies

    • sharifah on June 16, 2020

Seriously nice cake...banana, peanut butter and chocolate... all my favourite ingredients. The bananas on top makes it look a bit special... would definitely make this again and again

    • georgia_8noukt on March 07, 2026

Okay so here’s the thing- these were really good. However I substituted like half the ingredients based on what I had on hand. I did pecans instead of almonds and tahini instead of peanut butter. I didn’t add the banana on top either, but did top with Maldon sea salt. They were incredible! I’d recommend making them either way haha (photo is before I did chocolate drizzle and salt)
