Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Mom's maple pecan rings

    • Rutabaga on April 22, 2019

This makes a stunning addition to a breakfast buffet. It takes a little work, but is not difficult. I used hazelnuts in place of the pecans. I would also like to try using real maple syrup instead of maple extract in the filling and glaze, as I felt that the flavor of my (imitation) maple extract was a little lackluster in comparison to the real thing.

  • Swedish meatballs with gravy

    • linnea_5qfysi on April 23, 2026

Sauce either needs half the liquid or double the flour. Ratio I used was 1 T flour to 1 cup broth.

  • Lucia buns (Swedish Lussekatter)

    • Solovyay on March 13, 2026

My favorite Lucia bun recipe! I love making these in December
