  • Mustard-tarragon chicken thighs with cauliflower

    • theBlackbird on July 08, 2020

I enjoyed it, my partner did not. I would do a little bit less mustard and 1/2 the amount of lemon next time. It was way to tart and I had to cut the sauce with another 1/4 cup of chicken stock. Otherwise I enjoyed that it was one pan, fast and easy cleanup!

  • Pasta alla Gricia with kale

I don't think the greens added anything here. Not a repeat.

  • Cheesy pasta bake

    • jay.moe on February 10, 2022

The instructions don't specifically state when to add the pasta. I assumed that it was in step 4. It also took longer to cook the pasta in the sauce. The instruction read '3 to 4 minutes less than the package instructions'. I had to cook the pasta longer than the package instructions just to get it 'a little too firm to the bite'. I also had to add quite a bit of water to the sauce to keep it from bubbling dry. Although the concept of only using one pan was appealing, the final dish suffered because of it. I would rather wash an extra pot and cook the pasta in boiling water 3 to 4 minutes less than the package instructions and then finish it in the sauce according to the recipe instructions. The sauce had a really good flavor, so I will give it 4 stars, because the problem with the recipe was the instructions.

  • Fancy weeknight mushroom pasta

    • Curlymirta on January 13, 2024

Important to have not too much water with the pasta, so the water you add to the sauce has more starch. It was very tasty and easy

  • Tomato rice with chicken and green beans

    • rebecca_u2b2rp on April 09, 2026

Says to cook thighs for 10 minutes. That wasn’t near enough time. Although simple to make, maybe a little too simple in flavours to make again.

  • My mama's chicken

    • Leo on August 09, 2020

I prefer to cook the chicken in the oven for recipes like this. So I precooked the chicken for 30 minutes as I felt that the timings might not be enough to properly cook the chicken and continued with the recipe as written. It was simple, tasty and the rice was beautifully cooked.
