Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Broccolini and spinach tortitas with fresh salsa verde with peas and mint

    • mikestarke on July 02, 2025

Really great and flavorful use of broccoli and the salsa was exceptional. I found that the salsa actually kept pretty well for a couple days well in the fridge as opposed to what the recipe itself had said.

  • Red beet sangria

    • Clairehg on January 18, 2026

Fun and different. Very divided opinions. If people like beets they loved it!! Easy to make too.

  • Carrot-piloncillo soup with cilantro-lime crema

    • davidthacher on January 01, 2026

Heavenly flavor and easy to make. Lime and cilantro infused creme was perfect to carrot and onion sweetness. I'm sure it would be just as good if you needed to substitute brown sugar for piloncillo and creme fraiche for cream. Next time I want to tinker with the recipe to try to get that same perfection with half the butter.
