      They were ok. I found the 400 degrees to start too high. Burnt the bottoms a little and I have an oven thermometer. Tasted a bit like a sugar cookie.

      I didn’t cut in the butter right so they turned out ugly and too flat. But they had all the right flavor and they were still all eaten. Next time I’ll use a food processor to cut the butter in to the flour and then I’m sure they’ll turn out beautiful.

      Delicious scone! Used fresh peaches which were great. Good almond flavor but might add 1/4 tsp almond extract next time for just a little more.

      Easy to prepare, nice texture. Glaze was very good but could be served with a maple or honey butter on the side. Did not put them in the freezer as recommended. Will do that next time.

      The cookies themselves are probably 5/5 stars. They’re rich, fudgy, and have a bit of a crisp edge. I love anything peanut butter and chocolate so I’ll likely make them again. However, I followed the recipe exactly and only got 9 cookies instead of the listed 12 (I doubled checked my scoop and it was 4 tbsp as indicated in the recipe). I also would prefer weighted measurements included. Even with those notes, I’ll make again and probably attempt to double the recipe.

      Easy recipe but does require almond paste which may not be a pantry staple for some. I baked a few testers after just one hour in the fridge and they turned out great! They are very sweet but delicious and the texture was wonderful! They didn’t crack when made same day, but I almost prefer the Same day texture to after letting it rest overnight.
