    Snow peas with pine nuts (pg 196) uses soy sauce but is otherwise a very plain presentation of steamed vegetables. It is an example of what was considered quick and gourmet in the early 1980's. The recipe, like most in this book, is a solid, well-tested recipe that has gone from gourmet to normal nightly dinner.
