    Green bean casserole (pg 155) Yes, this is the infamous bag of frozen veggies, can of soup, can of onions ...but this is an all-American dish everyone needs to know how to make.

    Liver with onions & bacon (pg 109) is a standard recipe except for the suggested sauce (onion soup + chili sauce). I chose to skip their sauce and go with my favorite artisan ketchup. Basic and good.
