Brussels sprouts with pickled carrots, walnuts, cilantro, and citrus vinaigrette from Six Seasons: A New Way with Vegetables (page 286) by Joshua McFadden and Martha Holmberg

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

Can substitute hazelnuts or pecans for walnuts.

I loved this I upped the carrots so I could get one in every bite and added black lentils to make it a meal.

Not my favorite, but I did love the vinaigrette

Such a beautiful dish. The pickled carrots are addictive on their own, and add a nice punch to the dish. I was rushing and failed to taste and season, as I would add a bit more salt/vinegar to the citrus vinaigrette. Will definitely make this dish again - can see adding it to the holiday meal for sure!

Delicious! It was a big hit with my dinner guest. I will definitely make it again. Every Brussels sprouts lover should try this.

Another winner from this book! Thought it was a nice, bright way to elevate brussels sprouts with the citrus + pickled flavors. I used hazelnuts.

This was very good but I would skip the scallions next time.

Bright and tasty! Served some shrimp alongside and that worked well.

Impeccable balance, good crunch, easy method. A winner.

This was good but I tried to triple the recipe for Thanksgiving and, alas, the sprouts were mushy and smelled farty.
