Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Lofty buttermilk pancakes

    • dmass on January 01, 2020

While there were more steps to this recipe that I’m used to, they turned out great. My husband that doesn’t like pancakes and never eats them, tried one and liked it. Plain, without any kind of syrup. I’m happy that I will be making these more often in the future. They are delicious and light.

  • Overnight (no-knead) bread

    • Willora on March 06, 2026

      Easy and foolproof

  • Foolproof salmon baked with olive oil and herbs

    • julesamomof2 on August 30, 2020

This is an easy, flexible, and delicious way to cook salmon. I usually add some slices or lemon or orange, depending on what I have on had. I've made this several times and it always turns out great.

  • Pasta casserole with broccoli and Gouda cheese

    • dianev on May 14, 2019

This recipe was disappointing. Broccoli needed to be cooked (maybe in pasta cooking water?) or at least blanched before baking. Cottage cheese texture was unappetizing. Blending or food processing it would improve appearance. Recipe also needed more seasoning.

  • Wilted raw kale salad

    • swegener on January 30, 2015

This was ok. It turned out both salty and lemony, but surprisingly blah. I think it makes a good foundation. Probably would be better with more things added.
