So very good! I have made this many times and we can't get enough of it.

  • Cinnamon rolls with cream cheese frosting

    • juazella on January 31, 2016

Did not turn out well at all. Very small, need to be placed much closer together-- all of them could have been in one pie plate instead of two and it probably would have turned out better. Really not a good recipe.

Did not turn out well. Batter barely rose, in the first OR second rise (and my yeast is fine, I use it to make GF bread every week!). Also the recipe is confusing--why are there two parts of butter required for the rolls? It's unclear, and doesn't make sense, given the quantities, that the first stick is the 'half the butter'. Also I'm wondering if there's an egg missing? (given that so many GF breads--and baked goods-- require an egg both for raising and added protein which helps with texture...)

      Meh. We’ve made better.

  • Soft pretzels

    • juazella on January 31, 2016

Really good! Tastes like normal gluten filled pretzels. For the future I would line the plate for the freezer with plastic wrap to make it easier to get the pretzels off of it.

  • Yellow cake

    • juazella on January 31, 2016

      Absolutely fabulous!

  • Chocolate chip cookies

    • juazella on January 31, 2016

Hands down the best cookies I've had gluten free! The 3 day wait really does make them beyond great. Haven't had teff flour, so just used the same amount of the gluten free all purpose flour and it worked just as well.

Comfort food classics made gluten-free from the beloved and award-winning blogger

Following the James Beard Award–winning Gluten-Free Girl Every Day, Shauna James Ahern and her husband, Daniel Ahern, have created a collection of comfort-food classics that are all unbelievably and amazingly gluten-free. Cinnamon Rolls with Cream Cheese Frosting, Chicken-Fried Steak, New England Clam Chowder—the country’s most beloved dishes, reinvented. Of course, it wouldn’t be true comfort food without dessert, and Shauna aptly provides plenty of delicious recipes for sweets lovers. There’s Pecan Pie, Red Velvet Cake, and even a version of those treasured Thin Mint cookies. Shauna and Daniel tested the recipes over and over again, so these dishes are as easy and foolproof as possible for at-home cooks and her thousands of devoted blog followers. This cookbook also includes all the basic bread recipes readers need to keep making classics at home like Pizza Dough, Sandwich Bread, Hamburger Buns, and Pie Dough. Gluten-Free Girl American Classics Reinvented is Shauna’s best assortment of recipes to date.
