Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Tagliatelle, king crab with Meyer lemon and black pepper

    • DKennedy on August 05, 2020

This recipe is a must-make. Impressive, but easy to prepare. A friend picked up King Crab for me from Costco. When I read this recipe, I knew, this was dinner! TJ's boxed chicken stock, previously frozen Costco king crab, and regular lemon. Perfect results. Tweeks: added a lot of black paper, some urfa biber chili, and parm to finish the dish. Do yourself a favor and make this. Note to self: 1st recipe I've tried from this book. Covid dining at its best.

  • Biscotti

    • Charlotte_vandenberg on February 19, 2022

When baked, they look beautiful and taste nice. Not as tooth breaking as store-bought biscotti can be sometimes.

  • Red light

    • Baxter850 on May 21, 2020

Really anise forward but otherwise nice and balanced. I don’t know that I need to make it again, unless I’m in a sour/bitter daiquiri over ice mood. Would reduce bitters to one dash.

  • Café con leche

    • Baxter850 on May 04, 2020

Too much lemon and Orgeat. Not the right balance for me.

  • Egg nog

    • Baxter850 on May 04, 2020

Super tasty but really boozy. Better after a couple days.

  • Gin-gin mule

    • Baxter850 on May 16, 2020

      Not in standalone cocktail book.

  • Hemingway daiquiri

    • Baxter850 on April 11, 2020

Great specs. My version is a mashup of this one and the D&C specs.

  • Jack rose

    • Baxter850 on April 14, 2020

Needs more sweetness and a little too woodsy; but subbed Daron Calvados and didn’t use spec grenadine

  • Japanese cocktail

    • Baxter850 on May 04, 2020

Really great drink. This one is a chameleon. Perfect for a sophisticated cocktail party in the c-suite or can slum it at a tiki party.

  • Mai tai

    • Baxter850 on May 23, 2020

The perfect craft cocktail mai tai.

Publishers Text

From the authors of the acclaimed cookbooks Eleven Madison Park and I Love New York comes this uniquely packaged cookbook, featuring recipes from the wildly popular restaurant and, as an added surprise, a hidden back panel that opens to reveal a separate cocktail book.

Chef Daniel Humm and his business partner Will Guidara are the proprietors of two of New York's most beloved and pioneering restaurants: Eleven Madison Park and The NoMad. Their team is known not only for its perfectly executed, innovative cooking, but also for creating extraordinary, genre-defying dining experiences. The NoMad Cookbook translates the unparalleled and often surprising food and drink of the restaurant into book form. What appears to be a traditional cookbook is in fact two books in one: upon opening, readers discover that the back half contains false pages in which a smaller cocktail recipe book is hidden. The result is a wonderfully unexpected collection of both sweet and savory food recipes and cocktail recipes, with the lush photography and impeccable style for which the authors are known. The NoMad Cookbook promises to be a reading experience like no other, and will be the holiday gift of the year for the foodie who has everything.
