Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Strawberry 'n' protein chia pudding

    • patioweather on December 09, 2024

Tastes like wet protein powder. :(

  • Tempeh sausage sage gravy

    • patioweather on August 10, 2024

Very good. My omnivore partner made "mmmm!" sounds as he ate it.

  • Maple breakfast sausages

    • patioweather on August 18, 2024

These were good but at the end of the day they still taste like seitan.

  • Early bird scrambled tofu

    • patioweather on November 19, 2023

Do I want chickpeas? Do I want tofu? How about both. This makes a lot, and it improves (supposedly) by sitting before cooking, so it is good for a mostly make ahead breakfast.

  • Pinto BBQ seitan burgers

    • patioweather on March 19, 2025

This would have been delicious, but it didn’t really work out. Even after adding much more VWG, it was quite soft. They couldn’t cook all the way through either. They looked gorgeous and tasted good but were mush inside.

  • Green goddess burger & roasted potatoes bowl

    • patioweather on October 17, 2024

I shaped these into balls because I thought it would help the structural integrity, but that made it harder to roll in the crispies. I baked half in the air fryer and froze the other half (despite what the instructions say with regards to freezing.) The ball shape also prevented any comparisons to a hamburger.

  • Cashew hemp goddess dressing

    • louie734 on June 10, 2020

GOOD. Half recipe makes a perfect little mason jar. Sunflower seeds for cashews, omitted chives so added 1 t dried minced onion to soak with seeds. Seemed like it would need something but DIDN'T. Nice n thick after refrigerating - perfect for a dip or sandwich spread - but thins easily with a squeeze of citrus or dab of water.

    • patioweather on February 06, 2024

      Delicious and heart healthy.

  • Dill pickle Thousand Island cashew dressing

    • patioweather on March 19, 2025

I had to add a lot more ketchup to make it appropriately pink.

  • Tomato gravy & biscuit kale bowl

    • pixie_brsj1p on April 14, 2026

Delicious gravy, we made it spicier and had it with sesame bread. The kale & tomato salad is lovely and is also nice with a herby rice.

  • Pro mac with roasted broc

    • patioweather on October 15, 2024

Solid vegan mac and cheese recipe.

  • Black bean hemp brownies

    • Goodwolf on July 18, 2020

These are the most chocolatey brownies I’ve had. Wonderful flavor. There’s a grittiness to them that isn’t great but it’s a small issue.
