Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Grilled corn on the cob with lime chili sauce

    • mjes on August 10, 2021

This is a great alternative to Mexican street corn - butter, chili, lime is a perfect combination for fresh corn.

  • Tomato-garlic chicken naan pizza

    • Logan92995 on July 06, 2023

This was fantastic and relatively easy to make. It was also pretty filling and left me with plenty of leftovers. However, a couple of things I did change in the recipe -- first, I substituted in ghee for the vegetable oil to make it more authentically flavored. I also used about a 3:1 ratio in the step suggesting chili powder or paprika. I don't quite have the heat tolerance for that much chili powder, so used more paprika. My one edit I would make is less salt, maybe about half as much. Overall though it was fantastic!

  • Peppery chicken liver stir-fry

    • mjes on August 10, 2021

For those of us who grew up while chicken livers were a staple in every grocery, this recipe provides an interesting mix of nostalgia and unfamiliarity. But the mix of chicken livers, curry leaves, cashews, and cilantro is truly delightful. I like to serve it with millet rather than rice just to add to the "surprising" aspect.
