Publishers Text

The Greeks enjoy it chilled with ice, the Americans order it to go, and the Italians prefer theirs with crisp biscotti. However, you enjoy your coffee though, one thing is for sure, we all look forward to taking a break.

On average, a coffee-drinking American enjoy just over three cups of coffee every day.

Surprisingly though, it's our Nordic cousins who consume the most coffee. Finns may very well drink more than twice this amount of coffee, but it's the Swedes who wear the coffee break crown.

Not only do they enjoy their coffee, but there are laws guaranteeing workers a specific break for coffee and a light bite. The break is called a fika which is as much about socializing as it is about drinking coffee.

Jan 20th is National Coffee Break Day and to celebrate this time-honored tradition, we have brought together 40 of the best coffee drinks and naughty nibbles for you to enjoy.

Discover hot and iced coffee recipes, from macchiato to mocha, frappe to frappuccino, and snacks including American Rocky Road to Swedish Lingonberry Sour Cream Coffee Cake.
