Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Cassie Lee's no-cook tomato sauce

    • vaneater on January 05, 2026

Yum. This is a great quick pasta dish. Used my Nutribullet and got such a lovely creamy sauce. It's also great cold and could make a great pasta salad with some grilled veg mixed through it!

  • Zen's creamy zucchini and ancho pasta sauce

    • vaneater on January 05, 2026

This was delicious. Bright and very anchovy forward. I made it with milk and it was surprisingly light but still creamy. I used fusilli from the pantry.

  • Gingerbreads and how to ice them well

    • vaneater on January 05, 2026

The spice is perfect in this recipe and it's lovely to have the honey and butter in the recipe when most have shortening and golden syrup or molasses. I didn't get around to icing them but the extra sweetness would have been lovely. I brought them to 3 different Christmas events this year and everyone loved them! Make sure you take them out based on colour and not time alone.
