Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Oven-baked pasanda curry

    • et12 on August 17, 2025

This wasn’t bad for a low calorie curry using mostly store cupboard ingredients. I can see making this one again

  • Margherita chicken

    • et12 on January 19, 2025

Good flavours but I would prefer a thicker sauce. I reduced it by a lot more then the recipe seemed to recommend but it still ended up being very runny.

    • JulieRom on February 11, 2026

Quick foolproof recipe, I added a pinch of dried chilli’s but there’s so much more you can add to the sauce.

  • Crispy chicken with sweet and sour sauce

    • Leo on May 11, 2026

Tasty but not enough sauce and cooking times too long for veg. I will persevere with it but follow my instincts with the veg perhaps?

  • Tachos

    • et12 on September 14, 2025

Really tasty and really quick to make. Perfect for a Friday evening after a long day at work.

  • Spanish rice

    • et12 on March 02, 2024

This was alright. Made some of the Sunday and portioned it for lunches for the week.

  • Stuffed pasta Bolognese

    • et12 on September 14, 2025

I thought this was a lot of work for not much of a result. The ‘sauce’ is ok but very thick. The stuffed shells did not have much flavour to them.

  • Cheesy aubergine bake

    • et12 on September 02, 2025

This was ok. Some nice flavours and easy to throw together. I would use it more as a side then a main.

  • German potato soup

    • et12 on January 14, 2025

This was a nice alternative to leek and potato soup but one that isn’t trying to pretend to be a low calorie version of the classic. Some good flavours and I like chunky soups like this.

  • Fish chowder

    • veronica_b28onq on March 29, 2026

I enjoy making this and taking to work for lunch. Filling and yummy. It is smelly for my co workers, as I use smoked fish, but I really don’t care as taste overrides politeness ??

  • Chicken, bacon and leek cottage pie

    • chezlarios on March 19, 2025

Good stuff! I need a way to use low-fat cream cheese that I'd bought and BF didn't like. This was delicious and not too labour intensive.
