I love the ability to scan the page and have the recipe on your phone!!! I've never seen that in another cookbook and I think it's so cool and useful.

Broccoli & Cheese soup was amazing!

Notes about Recipes in this book

  • 45-minute cinnamon rolls

    • krissy_lzrtqt on April 04, 2026

First time trying this and it was great! It took longer than I anticipated but will get faster with practice. It was nice not to have to rest the dough overnight. Next time I would mix the butter and cinnamon sugar mixture before spreading. The icing also makes a lot and is very sweet so I may cut back on that as well but this was a hit with my kids and hubby!

  • 1-hour dinner rolls

    • racheljmorgan on June 04, 2025

For something requiring the bare minimum of effort, ingredients, and time: it's decent, especially for a normal family dinner. They don't rise much (and mine were misshapen after being helped by a 1 year old), but this could have been fixed with more rise time as stated in recipe. I just was unwilling to wait on them. Threw a bit of dried dill into the dough. Overall, it's a good recipe in a pinch. The rolls are slightly sweet and soft.

  • Creamy zuppa Toscana

    • Bessp on July 23, 2025

I think we would have rated this five stars if we'd made it on a chilly fall day. It was super hearty and warming, rich without being heavy. It calls for three different pans, probably to cut down on cook time, but i just did it all in my dutch oven (bacon in, bacon out, sausage in, sausage out, onions and garlic in, broth and potatoes in, follow the rest of the recipe from there). Will definitely be making it again once it gets colder.

  • 8-can chicken taco soup

    • truefamilyfood on February 09, 2026

This recipe was so easy and tasted surprisingly delicious for it all coming out of a can. I loved the addition of green enchilada sauce, which added some brightness. Will make again!

  • Broccoli cheese soup

    • sophia_csi5ki on March 26, 2026

I didn’t have half and half, so I used milk and sour cream. Also used extra broccoli.

  • Easy fried rice

  • Korean ground beef rice bowls

    • crysta_63qusi on February 04, 2026

Super easy. Halved the brown sugar and used fresh minced ginger - the sauce was great. Added stir fry veg instead of broccoli. Will make again!

  • The best Swedish meatballs

    • brookelynn_t6xqdn on May 25, 2026

Everyone loved the swedish meatballs said they were the best ones they've ever had!!! I did make them a little bigger than the recipe called for and doubled the spices because they were bigger. Also obviously had to increase the cook time. But we will definitely be having them again!!

  • One-pot creamy chicken mushroom Florentine

    • crysta_63qusi on January 08, 2026

So easy and good. I used whole milk instead of half and half. It was a tad soupy, but I used 6 oz of gluten free pasta and should have dialed back the liquid accordingly - still delicious.

  • Baked sweet and sour chicken

    • andreapcoburn on November 25, 2025

This is the first recipe from this book I’ve tried, abd it WILL be on regular dinner rotation. Inexpensive, used pantry staples, and easy to make. It was better than takeout and had that satisfying fried crunch. After doing a quick pan fry, the chicken cooks for an hour in the oven. I was glad I cut up the chicken and green onion on my lunch break because even though this is fast to put together, with the one hour bake time it’s a bit long for a weeknight. The family loved it. This made 6 servings. Served with white rice and pineapple. Would have paired well with any veggies like broccoli, snow peas, peppers, baby corn, zucchini.

  • Garlic and herb-crusted pork tenderloin

    • cookingbychapter on February 01, 2026

Good and very easy. Mine did cook quite a bit faster than the suggested time so keep an eye on it.

  • Brown sugar-glazed salmon

    • cathy_axuzlq on May 26, 2026

Need to cook at a higher temp- takes forever at 350
