Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Garlicky bread crumbs

    • Ladyberd on January 13, 2026

Pretty spicy. If you don’t like heat, reduce the crushed red pepper

  • Kale salsa verde

    • mpo on July 04, 2025

This is very briney, between the capers and olives. I added some rice vinegar to help balance that out and cut down on the olive oil which made it more of a tapenade texture.

  • Calabrian pomodoro

    • Ladyberd on January 13, 2026

Very good but I reduced the salt significantly

  • Simple tomato sauce

    • krista_fcgy12 on February 22, 2026

Absolutely fantastic. I usually triple this recipe & freeze. Now that I make this in repeat, I can have all the ingredients on hand at all times. I can use the sauce for meatballs, spaghetti or even just with noodles.

  • Amaro shakerato

    • krista_fcgy12 on May 01, 2026

Incredible! Felt so fancy and special to serve to guests after dinner. Once you have the ingredients on hand you can easily prepare it and serve on repeat

  • Artichoke dip with white beans

    • Tinala523 on April 28, 2025

I had all of the ingredients so I made it for an app for Sunday Dinner. Easy to prepare! The cheese was quite salty so next time I would add less salt and lemon, then add more as needed. Made about two cups, very economical.

  • Fregola salad with olive dressing and chickpeas

    • julesamomof2 on March 19, 2025

Delicious and different, if quite a bit of work. The olive dressing makes extra would be great on other salads. Leftovers kept for a day at most.

  • Pasta alla zozzona

    • JennyCampisi on March 05, 2026

Used Vesuvio pasta from Sporkful. Amazing.

    • Ladyberd on May 09, 2026

      A new favorite!

  • Bison Bolognese

    • krista_fcgy12 on March 07, 2026

One of my favorite recipes. Robust, simple & comforting. This one is great to serve to your family or company. I’ve made it with ground beef & also with bison- both are excellent. This is definitely n rotation.

  • Sheet pan chicken "Parm" with fresh tomato sauce

    • krista_fcgy12 on March 10, 2026

Fantastic! Light, flavorful & is a great dish for company or family. The tomato sauce is so fresh. This recipe will definitely be on repeat.

  • Pork scarpariello

    • mpo on July 12, 2025

This was good. I don’t have a pre-made batch of her seasoned salt recipe, so I just mixed the spices together, for seasoning. Only used about 2 T of flour so maybe not as breaded as her version but still good.

  • Warm farro with mushrooms and Brussels sprouts

    • julesamomof2 on March 19, 2025

I made this as a side to go with her chicken piccata meatballs from the same book. As written it reads like a salad so I left the hazelnuts out and served it warm and it was nice but nothing spectacular.
