  • Mum's bacon and egg pie

    • Sparkles75 on August 06, 2022

I’m very glad I didn’t follow the instructions and dollop over 2 tab mustard on top of the egg mixture! Instead I mixed 2 tsp of mustard in with relish and spread over the base. I’m also not convinced that potato belongs in an bacon and egg pie but these things aside it was tasty and will make again with my mustard changes and without potato

  • Moroccan chicken and apricot salad

    • hbakke on March 10, 2020

This was fine. I don't have access to "mixed spice" so I added some allspice and ginger in its place. There was far too much onion for my liking. I would use probably 1/2 an onion if I made this again. The dressing was interesting (maybe too sweet initially, before adding salt/pepper). It kind of grew on me the more I tasted it. Overall not a bad recipe, but not great either.

  • Italian chicken bake

    • Astrid5555 on August 11, 2016

This was excellent! Had to make without the herb vinaigrette due to my limited vacation home rental pantry (salt, olive oil and butter). Topped with butter flakes instead, used only fresh cherry tomatoes and no canned ones, parsley instead of basil. The recipe produced very crispy chicken parts and potatoes baked in a lovely sauce made of butter, olive oil and melting mozzarella. Will go into regular dinner rotation!

  • Swish Swedish meatballs

    • hbakke on March 05, 2020

This was just okay. I followed the recipe exactly but the meatballs were under seasoned and bland (definitely needed more salt). Also, even finely chopped onion didn't seem fine enough in the meatballs. The bits that were on the outside of the meatballs kept sticking to the pan while cooking and the inside bits didn't get fully cooked. I would have preferred to add the onion to the sauce or maybe to run the onion through the food processor before adding it to the meatball mix. I should have cooked a little piece and tasted before cooking all of the meatballs. The sauce was alright, but I don't think I would make this version of Swedish meatballs again. If I do make this again, the meatballs should be much smaller (like IKEA size), instead of "lime sized" as instructed in the recipe.

  • Chelsea's apple pie

    • e_ballad on September 03, 2016

It was ok, but prefer my apple pie filling to be a bit 'brighter' from a flavour standpoint. Personal preferences withstanding, no issues with the recipe itself, with everything in keeping with the instructions & spot-on cooking times.

  • The best chocolate chip cookies

    • kim_4gntdg on April 19, 2026

Love this recipe so quick to make, everyone loves them! also great if you want to make and sandwich some vanilla ice cream between

  • Banana and coconut loaf

    • lou_weez on October 16, 2017

A great banana loaf that I can't wait to make again! Made this today with a mixture of leftover yogurt and sour cream, and it's still brilliant!!

  • Golden oat cookies

    • hbakke on March 04, 2020

Good cookies. They are more cakey than chewy, but still a good cookie. I baked them at 200°C for 11 minutes and they were a little overbaked. I would probably pull them out at 9 or 10 minutes next time. They don't really spread either, so I might flatten them a bit next time.

  • Bacon, egg and spinach wraps

    • lou_weez on October 10, 2017

Made these for school and work lunches and they were a hit!! Prepared the night before, they make a great grab-and-go meal.
