Notes about Recipes in this book

  • Quinoa cereal with freeze-dried berries

    • FlowerGold on March 18, 2026

An option for cereal lovers that is less sugar laden. You can also add adult items like nuts, hemp seeds, coconut etc.

  • Sweet buckwheat porridge

    • skvalentine on September 06, 2022

Really good! I like the texture and flavor.

  • Black rice pudding with coconut milk & mango

    • FlowerGold on June 06, 2025

I liked it. A cross between rice pudding and porridge. I don’t like things overly sweet so the mango was enough for me for dessert or breakfast. Other people would probably want more sweetness. I liked the coconut flavor with the mango. The liquid vs rice amounts seemed off as I had to cook for around 20 extra Mina’s it was still watery. I would use less water next time - maybe start with a quarter cup less water.

  • Chocolate chia pudding

    • FlowerGold on December 11, 2024

Good and I make repeatedly. Can have an oily texture from the milk. Could try another milk. Let sit overnight so it isn’t watery.

  • Roasted kabocha soup

    • FlowerGold on December 11, 2024

The ginger overplayed the flavors. Would count the amount of ginger to a generous half. Shave some off the cumin too. Used Chicken broth. The squash does make for a nice consistency.

  • Chicken & leek soup

    • jgreenheck on December 30, 2019

This is surprisingly flavorful. Easy to make with just a few ingredients. I didn’t like the leaves that remained in the soup after removing the rosemary sprigs, so I painstakingly picked them out before serving. Next time, I might wrap the rosemary in cheesecloth to eliminate that problem.

  • Italian chicken salad with grilled asparagus

    • FlowerGold on March 19, 2026

Light fresh healthy easy and good. Perfect for summer dinner or lunch. Used more asparagus and chicken - the Adlai doesn’t need half the marinate- used just enough to cover and used the rest on the chicken.

  • Crunchy spring veggie grain bowl

    • abby_3xw7x4 on March 07, 2026

Super simple and easy and it left me feeling full but not gross. I modified a bit with what I had, so no bok choy or cilantro and I also didn’t add the poached chicken. Also I briefly boiled my asparagus since they weren’t big enough to shave and used regular radishes/white rice. And I tossed on some peanuts. Lol so pretty different I guess, but what made it was the sauce (not pictured) and that I followed the recipe for! ??

  • Teriyaki bowl

    • ChelseaP on July 07, 2022

This was such a great weeknight meal.

  • Mediterranean salmon en papillote

    • ChelseaP on June 06, 2021

      Simple and delicious.

    • tsp on March 15, 2024

Loved it! Quick and delicious dinner

  • Halibut en papillote with lemon, mushrooms & toasted sesame oil

    • FlowerGold on July 21, 2024

Very nice and as a bonus it’s easy.

  • Sheet pan chicken curry

    • ChelseaP on August 05, 2021

Absolutely loved this dish. I also made the mayo recipe from the book and some flatbreads to go alongside.

    • Feelingsamtastic on January 26, 2023

Liked how easy it was to throw together, and the chicken did not overcook. for next time, I will add salt before roasting, and will need to find a way to reduce crowding in the pan (when we doubled the recipe and used two sheet pans, it still steamed vs roasted, so there wasn't much brown caramelly bits we usually like from roasted cauliflower)

    • KNivia on January 31, 2026

To get the cauliflower crispy you need to cook it for a longer time between 25-30 minutes. And because this uses chicken breasts I added the chicken after the cauliflower had been cooking for 15 minutes. This left it wonderfully moist but cooked and not dry. I also added in 1 tsp nigella seeds, 1 tsp cumin seeds and 1 tsp coriander seeds at the final 5 minutes of roasting. Everything should be nice and crispy and golden brown! Top with raita as well as the pickled red onions and cilantro. Delicious!

  • Sheet pan chicken with broccolini & radicchio

  • Turkey burgers

    • julesamomof2 on April 05, 2019

Tried these out in an effort to find a cheese-free burger and they were great! I made the pickles and the tahini dressing to go with them for a dairy and carb free dinner. Served with roasted sweet potatoes.

  • Kale aglio e olio

    • ChelseaP on May 22, 2021

Great quick and healthy dinner. We used whole wheat spaghetti instead of lentil.

  • Apricot, cashew & coconut truffles

    • Wende on November 22, 2020

This is a super simple recipe for an easy, healthy snack. I make them all the time because everyone in my family loves them. They are a nice little bites to put on a dessert tray for those who prefer not to indulge in the main dessert and are also fun on an after-dinner cheese platter.

  • Aquafaba mayo

    • ChelseaP on May 21, 2021

I was sceptical and it was a delightful surprise. Made it to go with some other recipes from the cookbook and it worked out perfectly. A great way to use something that would otherwise be wasted.
