  • Veggie lo mein

Better and quicker to cook than any take-out noodles. Perfect quick weeknight dinner!

  • Singapore mei fun rice noodles

    • lkgrover on August 15, 2022

One of my favorite Asian restaurant meals; it is much simpler preparation than the long list of ingredients implies (mostly chopping vegetables, then stir-frying in steps). I did not make the suggested pork.

  • Spring onion oil noodles

    • lkgrover on February 06, 2022

Good ramen noodles; quick preparation & easy to modify. I used the optional dried shrimp, and added shiitake mushrooms.

  • Cumin lamb biang noodles

    • dichohecho on March 02, 2021

Prep and cooking took me a lot longer than the 10 + 20 advertised, and I didn't even make my own noodles. Quantities also seem a bit off - I googled but didn't find errata so referred to a Woks Of Life recipe for proportions. I reduced the tbsp measures of spices to tsp and got a more sensible looking amount and a pleasant but not overpowering taste. Sort of intrigued to know what it'd be like in tbsp - like wood paste or a spicy wonder that I'm missing out on? Will need to restock and buy a spice grinder to find out. Would be interested to know how others found it.

  • Dan dan noodles

    • nomeshk on March 02, 2026

Comes together pretty quickly but takes a while to assemble all the ingredients. I accidentally swapped the quantities of peanut butter and sesame paste due to misreading the recipe. Really tasty and very filling.

  • Sichuan chilli oil

    • ASakulich on January 01, 2023

Absolutely wonderful. I make it by the gallon in an electric deep fryer to control the temperature more easily

  • Crispy skirt eggs

    • Ganga108 on August 18, 2024

After not eating eggs for 20++ years, I have recently reintroduced them to my diet (in limited ways) for nutritional reasons. I made this for Sunday breakfast, and it is a winner. I used sweet soy with the soy sauce instead of using sugar, and added my seaweed-and-seed mix for the topping. I also added some Japanese pickled daikon to it (recipe from The Modern Preserver) and it was excellent with the sauce! A fantastic way to start a Sunday. (Depending on your family's appetite and how many eggs they eat for breakfast, the recipe might suit 1 rather than 2. Or add toast or a flaky flatbread, or other accompaniment to serve 2.)
