Yorkshire pudding recipe is reliably good. I make 1/2 the recipe with 3 small/medium eggs (the whole recipe involves 5 large). They rise really well.

  • Bircher muesli

So good, very fragrant from the orange juice. One batch lasts a week for one person, and it is a treat to wake up to. I never bother with the apples, and I can't seem to find dried cherries that don't have sugar added so I use currants instead.

  • Cocoa espresso energy snacks

These are very easy to put together, and make a nice afternoon pick me up. I'm not sure the caffeine makes much of a difference though! Nice to know the ingredients in your snacks, and I like that these use dates for sweetness instead of sugar.

  • Coffee almond biscuits

These baked up nicely (note: the recipe makes a small batch) and had the promised sable-like consistency, but the flavor was just...meh. I probably won't make these again, because there are better similar recipes out there.

This is a nice biscuit, but I agree with the other reviewer that the flavor isn't very pronounced.

  • Lemon drizzle cake

Flavor was pretty good, but texture was a disappointment. Too firm for my taste. Technique was much like that of making madeleines, with butter added at the end. So, texture winds up being similar - though in the much larger shape of a small cake. I mixed zest with lemon many hours ahead of time as they recommended, but didn't notice a particular difference with lemon flavor as compared to cakes I've made where this is done at the same time as everything else. Appearance of the little cakes I made was lovely, but there are definitely several other recipes I prefer for lemon cake over this one.
