    We found these to be very bland - they would need a strongly flavored sauce to essentially mask this. Not worth a repeat.

• Beef & spinach

    I liked the flavour and texture of these, nice and light. Made the meatball mix the night before which made it relatively easy to finish after work. Served with the buttered risoni and peas, sprinkled with Parmesan cheese.

    The Asian-style flavours are pretty subtle & the bamboo shoots provide an excellent textural element. Devoured by the kids. Served with the book’s “Spicy hoisin sauce”.

• Ham meatballs

    Excellent meatballs. Very easy to make using a food processor. Perfect for using leftover Christmas ham.

• Turkey, quinoa & pea

    I wasn’t expecting much from these, as I was needing to use up some cooked quinoa & came across this recipe. They are a great meatball & would easily be a vehicle for a lot of different sauces. Devoured by kidlet.

• Buttered risoni & peas

    Simple flavours and lovely soft / silky texture. Great base for the meatballs (beef and spinach) but would also make a great side for other dishes.

• Hot tomato & eggplant sauce
