  • Pasta with vegetable ragù

Another recipe from this book that required a lot of ingredients and prep time where the final result just didn't seem worth the effort. Just kind of bland and uninspiring tasting. I ended up with a LOT of leftovers so I ended up turning it into a baked pasta dish the next day, adding a bechamel sauce and topping with breadcrumbs + extra cheese. That was more flavorful but still, I'd pass on making this again.

  • Pasta with tomato sauce, ricotta and Romano cheese

quite good would try adding the sundried tomatoes next time for even deeper flavor

  • Pasta with salami and ricotta

    • nicolepellegrini on December 22, 2024

I've been trying to find recipes to use up a lot of hard salamis I have sitting around and this was a great recipe for it. Simple but the salami added a nice richness to an otherwise simple tomato and ricotta sauce.

  • Pasta with tuna and asparagus

    • nicolepellegrini on January 25, 2025

For all the ingredients and time spent chopping and prepping them, this was pretty mid. Maybe if the cooking were staged more (browning the garlic and shallots first vs. dumping almost everything in at once) it would have developed more flavor. But I'm not planning on trying to make it again.

  • Moroccan chicken with olives

    • rita_9ef5mi on May 21, 2026

Been making this for over 20 years since i saw him cook it on tv. I love it. My family loves it. I use chicken breasts instead of whole chickens.

  • Apricot raspberry clafouti
