      Nice, basic soup. I added collard greens that had been sitting in the back of the fridge for too long and felt that it was a good addition.

      I used this recipe as a template for a fridge clean-out soup. I followed the recipe but added turnip, carrot, and celery. Tasted great served with toasted sourdough and a sprinkle of Parmesan.
